What we take
If two people can carry it, we can probably take it.
Furniture, appliances, electronics, yard waste, renovation debris and the things nobody else will pick up, such as pianos and hot tubs. Every item below shows a typical price and where it ends up.

The list
Sixteen common items, one truck.
Every item has a single-item price and a note on where it ends up. For a bigger load, we price by how much of the truck it fills.

Can't take
Seven things we can't take, by law.
These are hazardous to haul or banned from the transfer station. Here is where each one can go instead.
01
Paint and solvents
Liquid paint, thinners and stains are classed as hazardous waste and cannot go on a junk truck or into the transfer station.
Instead: Take them to the Marlow County hazardous-waste drop-off, first Saturday of each month. Empty, dried-out paint cans are fine: we take those.
02
Motor oil
Used oil contaminates everything else in the load and is banned from landfill.
Instead: Most auto parts stores and quick-lube shops accept used motor oil at no charge. The county hazardous-waste drop-off takes it too.
03
Pesticides
Pesticides, herbicides and pool chemicals are toxic and can react with other materials on the truck.
Instead: Keep them in their original containers and take them to the county hazardous-waste drop-off, first Saturday of each month.
04
Asbestos
Asbestos fibers are a serious health hazard when disturbed, and only licensed contractors are allowed to remove and transport it.
Instead: Call a licensed asbestos abatement contractor. If you are not sure whether old tile, siding or pipe wrap contains asbestos, have it tested before anyone touches it.
05
Propane tanks
Pressurized tanks can explode in a truck or at the transfer station, even when they seem empty.
Instead: Return grill-size tanks to any propane exchange cage at a hardware store or gas station. Larger tanks go back to your propane supplier.
06
Medical waste
Needles, sharps and anything contaminated put our crew and the sorting yard at risk and need special handling by law.
Instead: Ask your pharmacy or clinic about sharps containers and take-back programs. Many pharmacies also take back unused medication.
07
Ammunition
Live ammunition, fireworks and flares can go off under pressure or heat and cannot be transported with general junk.
Instead: Call your local police department's non-emergency line and ask how to hand it in. Do not put it in the trash.
Found during a pickup?
The crew sets it aside, tells you what it is and leaves it with you. You are not charged for anything left behind.

Where it goes
62% of what we haul never reaches the landfill.
Every load is sorted at our Depot Road yard. Usable furniture and housewares go to donation partners; metal, cardboard, electronics, mattresses and clean wood go to recyclers; only the rest goes to the transfer station.
